I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), with a Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Technology with a focus on web development. It is my second bachelor's degree. I also earned my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UWM in Fall 2007.
A few years ago, I realized that I was simply working, and decided it was time for a change. I started some soul searching into what I actually wanted. I had to look in the mirror and ask myself, "What are you truly passionate about?" The answer to the question wasn't immediately evident.
I have always been into IT. I fix my own computers/electronics. My family calls me when they have computer problems. I enjoy finding solutions to problems. With that in mind, I embarked upon a new journey to work in IT as a systems or network administrator, but that journey also took a twist.
Due to enrolling late, I could not register for any of the basic courses in the program and I had to choose an elective. That elective was multimedia web design using Adobe Flash and ActionScript. After taking this course, the light bulb turned on upstairs and I knew that I wanted to be a web developer. I greatly enjoyed this course - it fit like a glove.
I am a husband to a fantastic wife. We have been married for 12 years and we have four amazing children together. We enjoy spending time together playing with Legos, watching movies, and singing with each other. I am still a bit of a child at heart. In my spare time, which I have very little of these days, I will occasionally play some video games. I am also a fan of kung fu movies (especially Shaw Brothers movies from the 60s-70s), pro wrestling (yes, WWE-style), and I love sneakers.
